What's the catch?
Joining RADS10 is free, there's no contract, and you can leave anytime. That naturally makes people wonder what we're not telling them. So here's everything.
Who's behind this?
RADS10 was started by a small radio station owner who also runs an online shop. Like a lot of small station owners, he struggled to find advertising income, and like a lot of small business owners, he didn't want to pay for ads that might not work. RADS10 is the solution he wanted for himself.
How does RADS10 make money?
Only when you do. Merchants pay 5% of each sale that comes through the network, half goes to the station that sent the customer, and half keeps RADS10 running. No sale, no fee, for anyone.
The honest catches, for merchants:
- You choose your own discount. Offer 10% or more and you're a Premium merchant, listed first. Offer less and you're a Standard merchant, listed after them. Either way you pay 5% on network sales, so each one earns you a bit less than a full-price sale. In exchange, you only pay for customers who actually buy.
- Each station's code needs to work at your checkout or on your invoices, and your network sales are reported once a month: automatically if your store is on a platform we connect to, otherwise by you.
- You show a public rating from somewhere like Google, Etsy or eBay, and keep it current.
- Entries are checked before going live, so it may take a few days to appear.
The honest catches, for stations and podcasts:
- You earn from what your audience buys, so earnings start small and grow with your audience and the network.
- You're pointing your audience to independent businesses. We check that entries meet our rules; we don't guarantee any merchant.
- You need to tell your audience that you earn a commission.
- If a listener later comes to RADS10 directly instead of through your link, that sale uses our house code. Your link remembers your listeners for 30 days, so make sure they use it.
The honest catch, for everyone:
RADS10 is new. The network is small right now, and early members are helping build it. That's also the opportunity: founding members get in first.
RADS10 works like newspaper classifieds. Merchants write their own entries, every sale is between the merchant and the buyer, and we don't guarantee anyone.
What you don't have to worry about:
No signup fees, no monthly fees, no contracts, no ad spending, and we never handle your customers' orders or payments.
